THE PERSON BEHIND THE DESK
As amazing as the Yellow Desk is, it still needs to have someone sitting at it and that's where I come in.
I'm Hannah Dunnell, and I've been working in film and TV production for almost 20yrs (yes, I know what you’re thinking - I must have started when I was aged 6…)
With a background in production management, I worked my way up through the ranks in scripted comedy and drama programming before moving into post production & music supervision.
An in-house role as Production & Music Supervisor at Big Talk saw me work across their film and TV departments. This involved supervising production teams, overseeing post & delivery, and managing the music licensing & composer deals for, amongst others, Attack the Block, Sightseers, Cuban Fury, In Fear, Rev., Him & Her, and Friday Night Dinner.
I continued to build upon this experience of combining music and production at Comic Relief for Red Nose Day in the UK & US, aswell as music supervising independent feature films, including the BAFTA winning short Pitch Black Heist. Following this, freelance roles as a Post Production and Music Supervisor have allowed me to work on award winning comedy and drama series, with many amazing teams along the way.
Yellow Desk Productions was borne out of my love for working across both music and post, and gives me the chance to do so for a variety of incredible companies and productions. But it’s certainly not just about me - I have an amazing pool of freelancers who I love working alongside to make sure that each production that YDP takes on is a success. And I pride myself on always putting together a team for each project that has fun, does an exceptional job, and that people always want to work with again. So long as we keep doing that, we’re doing something right…!
